WSS Bavarians

On Wills blog are some Zvezda PTG infantry painted as Bavarians. Very nice. Anyone painted any artillery yet?

I've been "trolling" the net looking for any signs of the new Zvezda set, but so far haven't seen any. Will has done some nice work with the Strelets GNW artillery however, using most of them for his 1683 Austrians, but also painting a Russian battery.

My new Zvezda Russian Aartillery of Peter the Great arrived today, they look as good as the scans and very suitable for the period.

it seems a shame but I'll have to replace my Strelets

So far several UK sources are showing the artillery set in "pre-order" status at £8.99 (supposedly a 10% discount). Harfield's (usually one of the most reliable) is not showing it as available yet or a price. All of the sites that do show show it in pre-order status (including Michigan Toy Soldier in the US) are showing an estimated arrival date of "late June 2009". I have a feeling we'll start seeing sets actually turn up in about another two weeks. PSR hasn't received a review sample yet either, and they usually get them pretty fast.

To quote that illustrious thespian, Sir Homer Simpson, "D'oh!"

I checked all of the usual US sources, Harfield's, my usual source for Zvezda through eBay Stores, and several of my usual sources in the UK (modelsonthe net.com, e-models.com, Hannant's) - but I forgot to check Netmerchants. Glad you got them Will, can't wait to see a review.
